EFFECT OF DYE ON HAIR
The beauty confrontation between fans of natural beauty and adherents of its man-made version also touched upon the issue of hair coloring. Disputes about the dangers of paints do not fade for a moment: someone says that all paints are equally merciless to hair, and someone proves that in the world of cosmetic innovations there are less aggressive products. Types of paints: features
Where did the information about the dangers of paint come from? Initially, the variety of coloring products on the cosmetics market is to blame for everything. At its core, paint is a chemically active substance, the composition of which depends on the desired result. By "paint" you can mean henna, and a light tint foam, and a tonic, and a product with hydrogen peroxide. Depending on what result you want to achieve, the composition of the dye mixtures for hair will vary: one product will consist of completely gentle components, the other will include aggressive additives.
In general, all hair dyes are divided into 3 types:
Persistent.
The presence of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide determines the depth of the effect of the dye on the hair. Substances of permanent dyes replace the natural pigment of the hair with a dye pigment. Such products are ideal for painting over gray hair, they do not wash out, but may fade a little over time.
Shading.
Such dyes do not interfere with the structure of the hair, but only create a film of the selected color on the hair. Tint products (shampoos, foams) are washed off after a few weeks, practically do not linger on the hair and will not be able to radically change the native color.
Natural.
Natural dyes include henna and basma - they do not damage the hair, while creating an indelible film on the surface. This paint combines the durability of ammonia analogs and the harmlessness of tint ones. At the same time, the main disadvantage of such a paint is the limited shades and unpredictability of the result. You will be able to dye your hair only black, red and reddish-brown, but it is impossible to predict how the chosen dye will appear specifically on your hair.
The harm of persistent paints
Of course, only deep-level dyes can harm hair. Tint and natural dyes practically do not affect the hair structure, but only give them the desired color. Aggressive chemicals in permanent paints can lead to:
Violation of the hair structure. Substitution of natural pigment entails a violation of the integrity of the hair, loss of color and nutritional components. As a result, the hair suffers from dryness, splits and breaks. Permanently dyed hair is by default less healthy than natural strands, so frequent dyeing can lead to loss of shine and even lifeless hair loss.
Allergies. Certain chemicals can cause an allergic reaction. To avoid this, many manufacturers advise testing the paint on the crook of the arm. Don't ignore this advice to avoid rashes, irritation, and other unpleasant allergy symptoms.
Negative consequences for the whole organism. Active chemicals can harm not only hair, but other organs as well. The scalp may suffer - unsuccessful staining can lead to seborrhea, dandruff, hair loss.
